In the symphony of flavors that make up a memorable meal, side dishes play a crucial role. They complement the main act, adding layers of taste and texture that elevate the dining experience. Among these culinary companions, Crispy Roasted Red Skin Potatoes stand out as an exceptional choice, offering a delightful contrast to the main course.

The Irresistible Crunch of Roasted Red Skin Potatoes

Picture this: a fork gently pierces the crispy exterior of a roasted red skin potato, revealing a tender, fluffy interior. It’s a textural symphony that can only be achieved through the precise art of roasting. The uncommon terminology of “potato percussion” comes to mind, as each bite offers a satisfying crunch followed by a melt-in-your-mouth moment.

The Seasoning Secret: Unlocking Flavor

Now, let’s dive into the heart of the matter – seasoning. Seasoning is where you infuse your potatoes with flavor, turning them from plain to extraordinary. Think of it as a symphony of tastes, with each ingredient playing a unique role. From herbs like oregano to spices like cayenne pepper, you’re the conductor of this flavorful orchestra.

Achieving the Desired Crispiness

Place your seasoned red skin potatoes on a baking sheet, ensuring they have room to breathe. This arrangement allows the hot oven air to circulate, ensuring an even roast. The oven becomes your culinary cauldron, magically transforming the potatoes into crispy bites of perfection.

In the end, it’s not just about the potatoes; it’s about the entire dining experience. Crispy Roasted Red Skin Potatoes, with their tantalizing crunch and well-balanced seasoning, elevate your meal to a level of culinary excellence. They’re not just a side dish; they’re a testament to your culinary prowess, ensuring that every bite is a delightful journey of flavor and texture.

Crispy Roasted Red Skin Potatoes are more than just a side dish; they are a culinary adventure waiting to be explored.

Scale

1 1/2 lbs Petite Red Potatoes, washed and quartered

2 TBS Olive Oil

1 1/2 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Ancho Chili Powder

1/2 tsp Dried Oregano

1/4 tsp Coriander

1/4 tsp Garlic Powder

1/4 tsp Black Pepper

1 pinch Cayenne Pepper

1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated

4 TBS Cilantro, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with non stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, add the olive oil, salt, chili powder, oregano, coriander, garlic powder, black pepper and cayenne. Toss together until potatoes are fully coated with spices. Transfer to baking sheet.
  3. Be careful not to overcrowd the potatoes. They should have plenty of room to breathe. If they don’t, divide them onto two baking sheets.
  4. Sprinkle potatoes with Parmesan cheese and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven, flip over the potatoes and bake for another 20 minutes, until crispy.
  5. Sprinkle potatoes with cilantro, more salt if desired and serve.
